When the international metalworking industry gathers at the AMB in Stuttgart, Behringer GmbH will be presenting practical solutions for more productive manufacturing processes in Hall 8, Stand 8B10. Among the highlights is the HBE321A Dynamic automatic band saw.
The machine is designed for use in manufacturing, industry and the steel trade, and achieves high cutting performance whilst maintaining minimal cutting deviations. It covers a wide range of materials, from profiles and tubes to solid materials. A sturdy grey cast iron saw frame, a precise guide system and a servo-controlled feed ensure reliable processes and a consistently high cutting quality. This results in lower unit costs, reduced allowance and less rework.
One highlight is the BehrCtrl10 intelligent control system with Auto Feed Control (AFC) and an integrated material database containing over 500 materials. It automates key process parameters and determines the optimum machining parameters – such as feed rate and cutting speed – for each workpiece based on the tool being used. This significantly reduces the workload on operators, as time-consuming calculations and manual adjustments are no longer required. At the same time, the system enables even users without extensive prior technical knowledge to operate the machine quickly and safely, whilst achieving reproducible machining results. The machine’s energy-efficient design also helps to reduce resource consumption.
Alongside the technical aspects, the economic assessment is becoming increasingly important: investments in energy-efficient plant can currently be supported by government funding schemes.
